Welcome to Admit, a college and career navigation platform operated by Nile Studio, Inc. doing business as Admit (“Admit,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Admit’s website at www.admit.gg, related applications, and any products, services, content, or resources we make available (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who Can Use Admit
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you may only use the Service under the supervision and consent of a parent, guardian, or authorized school or program representative. Organizations such as schools, districts, and nonprofit partners may register accounts on behalf of their students, in which case those organizations are responsible for obtaining any required parental or guardian consent under COPPA and FERPA. By using the Service, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms personally or on behalf of your institution.
2. Your Account
Certain features require an account. When you register, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information and update it as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity under your account. You agree not to share your account, impersonate another person, or use the Service for unlawful purposes. Admit may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Use of the Service
Admit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for educational and personal purposes only.
You agree not to:
Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to access the Service’s source code.
Use the Service to collect or store personal information of others without consent.
4. AI Features
Admit uses AI technologies (including our assistant “Ace”) to provide guidance, essay feedback, opportunity suggestions, and other recommendations.
By using these features, you understand and agree that:
AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your situation.
You are responsible for verifying any information provided by the AI before relying on it.
Admit is not responsible for outcomes related to admissions decisions, scholarships, or other results based on AI outputs.
You use AI features at your own discretion and risk.
5. User Content
You may upload, submit, or input content (e.g., essays, goals, questions, messages, or materials) through the Service (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Admit a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and process that content for purposes of:
Operating and improving the Service,
Training and refining AI models,
Providing analytics or insights to your organization, and
Supporting educational or research purposes consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Admit does not sell your personally identifiable information. Any sharing of data with partners (e.g., schools, scholarship providers) will occur only with appropriate authorization and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Content Standards
You agree not to post or share any content that:
Violates any law or the rights of others,
Contains personal data about others without their consent,
Is abusive, harassing, obscene, or misleading, or
Contains malware or harmful code.
Admit may remove or restrict any content or account that violates these standards.
7. Payment and Subscriptions
If you purchase a paid plan or subscription, you agree to pay all applicable fees according to the plan’s terms. Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
8. Intellectual Property
All software, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other materials provided by Admit (excluding User Content) are owned by Admit or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. You may not use Admit’s branding or materials without our prior written consent.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may include links or integrations with third-party services (e.g., Google, Stripe, or educational partners). Admit is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties. Your use of their services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Admit makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service or any AI-generated content. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Admit and its affiliates will not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or
Any loss of data, profits, or reputation arising from use of the Service.
In any event, Admit’s total liability will not exceed $100 or the amount you paid to Admit in the past 3 months, whichever is greater.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Admit and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Admit may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately.
14. Children and Student Data
Admit complies with:
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) for users under 13, and
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for student educational records.
Admit only collects and uses student data in accordance with school or parental consent, and solely for educational purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in Hartford County, CT, except where prohibited by law. You waive any right to participate in a class action or jury trial.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last Updated” date and post the new version on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
