Nile Studio, Inc., doing business as Admit (“Admit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use Admit’s websites, web and mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
Admit is a college and career platform that helps students manage goals, applications, milestones, opportunities, and other progress while helping counselors, coaches, educators, and program staff provide support.
This Privacy Policy applies whether you use Admit directly or through a school, college, nonprofit organization, workforce program, or other partner organization (“Partner Organization”). When you use Admit through a Partner Organization, that organization’s privacy policies, agreements, and legal obligations may also apply.
We apply student privacy protections required by applicable law, including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”), and applicable state student and consumer privacy laws where those laws apply.
1. Information We Collect
a. Account and Profile Information
We may collect information used to create, maintain, and secure your account, including:
Name and email address
Account role, such as student, coach, counselor, instructor, or administrator
School, organization, program, cohort, or group affiliation
Authentication information and identifiers
Information received when you choose to sign in using services such as Google or Apple
For students, we may also collect profile information used to provide college and career guidance, such as:
Academic level and graduation year
School or program information
State
Academic, major, and career interests
First-generation college status
Financial aid needs or preferences
Optional GPA or academic information
College, career, scholarship, and opportunity preferences
b. Goals, Progress, and Education-Related Information
As you use Admit, we may collect information such as:
Goals, tasks, milestones, deadlines, and completion status
Progress updates and activity history
College, scholarship, internship, and other applications
Application status and outcomes
Scholarship amounts pursued or received
Saved opportunities and resources
Playbooks and program-assigned activities
Goal-verification information
Files, documents, screenshots, or other evidence uploaded to support a milestone
Program, cohort, cycle, and group participation
Stipend or program-requirement status where applicable
Some of this information may qualify as an education record or otherwise be subject to additional protections when Admit is used through an educational institution.
c. Information Added by Coaches, Educators, and Organizations
Authorized staff may add information about students they support, including:
Progress or advising notes
Meeting and check-in information
Academic or program updates
Attendance or assignment-related information
Goal or milestone verification
Staff assignments and caseload information
Internal program notes
Some notes are designed for authorized staff use and are not displayed to students through the normal student interface. This does not limit any access rights that a student, parent, or institution may have under applicable law.
d. Communications and Huddle
If you use Admit’s communication features, we may process:
Direct messages
Group or channel messages
Community or board posts
Meeting requests and scheduling information
Nudges, reminders, and notifications
Content reports and moderation information
Messages are visible to their intended recipients and, where applicable, authorized participants in an organization or channel. If content is reported for safety or policy reasons, authorized administrators or moderators may review the reported content and relevant surrounding context.
We may also send push notifications, email, or in-app notifications related to your account, goals, messages, meetings, program activity, or other Service functionality.
e. Information Used by AI Features
When you use Ace or another AI-assisted feature, we may process:
Questions and prompts you submit
AI conversation history
Essays, text, or other content you ask the AI to review
Relevant Admit information, such as your goals, applications, profile, progress, or program context, when needed to respond to your request
Feedback you provide about AI responses
We describe this processing further in Section 4.
f. Google Account and Google Calendar Information
If you choose to connect Google services, Admit may receive basic account information necessary to identify the connected Google account.
If you connect Google Calendar, we may also process:
OAuth credentials necessary to maintain the Calendar connection
The email address of the connected Google account
Identifiers and information necessary to create, update, or delete Admit-related Calendar events
Availability intervals from Google Calendar for eligible staff scheduling features
Google Calendar access is optional and is described in detail in Section 5.
g. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect information such as:
IP address
Browser, device, operating system, and app information
Login and access timestamps
Pages or screens viewed
Feature usage and interaction events
Error, security, and diagnostic logs
Push-notification identifiers
Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, functionality, security, and analytics
We do not use this information to serve targeted advertising.
h. Information Provided by Partner Organizations
A Partner Organization may provide Admit with information necessary to operate its program, such as:
Student and staff rosters
Names and email addresses
School or program information
Group, cohort, or counselor assignments
Program milestones or requirements
Existing progress or outcome information
When we process this information on behalf of a Partner Organization, our use is also governed by our agreement with that organization and applicable law.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
Create and manage accounts
Provide and operate the Service
Help students organize and maintain their college and career progress
Provide recommendations, resources, and next steps
Allow staff to understand student progress and provide timely support
Manage goals, milestones, applications, programs, and verification workflows
Enable communications, notifications, and meeting scheduling
Generate reports and program-level insights
Operate AI-assisted features
Provide technical and customer support
Maintain safety and moderate reported content
Detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents
Diagnose errors and improve product reliability and usability
Conduct aggregated or de-identified analysis where permitted
Comply with legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations
We do not sell personal information and do not use student personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
3. Partner Organizations and Access to Student Information
When Admit is provided through a Partner Organization, authorized staff within that organization may be able to view information about students based on their role, program, group, or assigned caseload.
For example, a counselor may view progress information about students assigned to them, while an organization administrator may have broader access necessary to manage the program.
Partner Organizations are responsible for determining which authorized personnel should have access to information under their control. Admit uses role-based and organization-based access controls to support those permissions.
4. Artificial Intelligence
Admit uses artificial intelligence to help users understand information, answer questions, identify possible next steps, organize plans, review submitted content, and perform certain user-requested actions.
At present, Admit uses Replit AI Integrations as an AI service gateway, with OpenAI as a downstream AI model provider for certain features. The specific models or technical configuration may change as the Service evolves.
When a user interacts with an AI feature, Admit may provide the AI service with the user’s prompt and the minimum Admit context reasonably necessary to fulfill the request. Depending on the feature, that context may include profile information, goals, applications, progress, or text intentionally submitted for review.
Admit does not itself use student personal information to train a generalized or foundational AI model, and we do not intentionally opt user content into third-party generalized model training. OpenAI states that its API and business-service inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless a customer explicitly opts in. Third-party AI services may nevertheless retain or process limited information for service operation, security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance according to their applicable terms and our arrangements with them.
AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular situation. AI outputs are intended to support—not replace—students, families, counselors, educators, admissions offices, financial aid authorities, employers, or other qualified decision-makers.
5. Google API Services User Data
Admit’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Admit requests Google Calendar access only when a user chooses to connect Calendar functionality. Google requires applications to clearly disclose their use of Google user data and restricts Workspace API data to user-facing purposes, including strict limitations on transfers, advertising, sales, and generalized AI or machine-learning training.
For students, Admit uses Google Calendar event access to create, update, and delete Admit-related events, such as dated goals and meetings.
For coaches and organization administrators, Admit may also request Google Calendar availability access. That access is used to determine whether proposed Huddle meeting times conflict with existing Calendar commitments.
Admit’s FreeBusy integration uses start and end availability intervals rather than retrieving the titles, descriptions, or contents of existing Calendar events. In the current implementation, these intervals are used transiently for scheduling and cached in application memory for approximately 30 seconds.
Admit does not:
Use raw, aggregated, anonymized, or derived Google Workspace API data to develop, train, or improve generalized or foundational AI or machine-learning models
Include Google Calendar event contents or Calendar availability intervals in prompts sent to Admit’s third-party AI services
Send Calendar lists, attendees, Google event identifiers, or raw Google API errors to AI providers for model processing
Sell Google Workspace API user data
Use Google Workspace API user data for advertising
Use Google Workspace API user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
An AI-assisted workflow may receive only minimal application-generated status necessary to complete a user-requested action, such as whether a Calendar synchronization succeeded or failed. Current code keeps the Calendar API operation itself within Admit’s Calendar service rather than sending the Calendar request or response to the AI provider.
Google Calendar credentials are maintained separately from Google sign-in credentials and are protected using technical safeguards, including encryption.
Users may disconnect Google Calendar from Admit. When a connection is disconnected, Admit clears its stored Calendar credentials and associated local Calendar connection information and requests revocation of the Google authorization. Admit also attempts to remove Admit-created Calendar events associated with the connection where appropriate.
Google’s Limited Use rules apply not only to raw Workspace API information but also to data aggregated, anonymized, or derived from it.
6. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances.
Service Providers. We use third-party providers to help operate functions such as hosting, database infrastructure, storage, authentication, email, push notifications, analytics, support, and AI processing. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal protections.
AI Providers. As described above, certain user-requested AI functionality currently uses Replit AI Integrations and OpenAI. Google Workspace API data is subject to the additional restrictions described in Section 5.
Partner Organizations and Authorized Staff. If your account is connected to a school or Partner Organization, we may disclose information to authorized personnel within that organization as necessary to provide the program and consistent with applicable law and agreements.
Other Users. Information you intentionally send through Huddle or another communication feature is disclosed to the intended recipients or authorized channel participants.
Safety and Legal Requirements. We may access or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful legal process, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce our agreements, protect users, or address safety or security concerns.
Business Transactions. Information may be transferred as permitted by law in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets. Google Workspace API user data will remain subject to Google’s Limited Use restrictions, including any additional consent required for such a transfer.
We do not disclose personal information to data brokers or advertising networks for targeted advertising.
7. FERPA and Education Records
FERPA applies to certain educational agencies and institutions receiving U.S. Department of Education funding and governs their handling of education records.
When an educational institution discloses education records to Admit and the institution and Admit rely on FERPA’s “school official” exception, Admit processes those records as a contractor or service provider for the authorized institutional service, under the institution’s control and subject to applicable restrictions on use and redisclosure.
The school-official exception is not automatic merely because Admit is an education technology provider; federal guidance requires, among other things, that the contractor perform an institutional service, remain under the institution’s direct control regarding education records, and use the information only for the permitted purpose.
Parents and eligible students seeking to exercise FERPA rights regarding records maintained for an educational institution should generally contact that institution. Admit will assist Partner Organizations in responding to lawful requests where required.
8. Children’s Privacy
Admit may be used in educational programs that serve minors.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without the consent or authorization required by applicable law.
Where a school is permitted to provide authorization on behalf of a parent under COPPA, Admit relies on that authorization only for the school-authorized educational use and benefit of the school—not for unrelated commercial purposes. Admit remains responsible for its own COPPA obligations and does not transfer that responsibility to a school or educator. The FTC specifically limits school-based COPPA consent to educational uses and requires the operator to provide appropriate notice and mechanisms for review and deletion.
Parents, guardians, and schools may contact us to request review, correction, deletion, or cessation of further collection of a child’s information where applicable.
We retain children’s personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as otherwise permitted by law. Current COPPA requirements prohibit indefinite retention simply because information may be useful later.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and relationship with Admit, you may have rights to:
Access personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of personal information
Obtain a portable copy of certain information
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Opt out of certain communications
Request information about how personal information is used or disclosed
Exercise additional rights provided by applicable state law
Admit does not sell personal information or use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
If your account was created or managed by a Partner Organization, certain requests relating to organization-controlled records may need to be coordinated with that organization.
You may disconnect Google Calendar through the Service and may also revoke Admit’s authorization through your Google account.
You may change push-notification permissions using your device settings.
Privacy requests may be submitted to support@admit.gg. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
10. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your Admit account and associated personal information through available account controls or by contacting support@admit.gg.
When a valid deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify personal information unless retention is reasonably necessary or permitted for purposes such as:
Fulfilling legal or contractual obligations
Maintaining required education records on behalf of a Partner Organization
Protecting safety or security
Resolving disputes
Preventing fraud or abuse
Maintaining limited audit records
Complying with legal process
For organization-provided accounts, we may coordinate the request with the Partner Organization where that organization controls the relevant records.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide the Service, support an active Partner Organization program, maintain security, comply with contractual or legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the context in which it was collected.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to lawful retention requirements.
Certain deleted or moderated communications, safety records, audit records, or backup copies may remain for a limited period when reasonably necessary for security, safeguarding, legal compliance, or system integrity.
12. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
These safeguards include role- and organization-based access controls and protections for sensitive credentials and integrations. Google also requires developers accessing Workspace data to maintain secure handling practices, including appropriate encryption of user data and OAuth credentials.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
Admit may link to colleges, scholarship providers, employers, internships, resources, or other third-party websites and services.
Your interactions with those third parties are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Admit is not responsible for the privacy practices of an unaffiliated service simply because it is linked or recommended through Admit.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, our practices, or applicable legal requirements change.
We will update the “Last Updated” date when we make changes. Where required, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email.
If Admit materially changes how it uses Google user data, Google requires updated disclosure and consent before the data is used for a new or different purpose.

The school-official exception is not automatic merely because Admit is an education technology provider; federal guidance requires, among other things, that the contractor perform an institutional service, remain under the institution’s direct control regarding education records, and use the information only for the permitted purpose.
Parents and eligible students seeking to exercise FERPA rights regarding records maintained for an educational institution should generally contact that institution. Admit will assist Partner Organizations in responding to lawful requests where required.
8. Children’s Privacy
Admit may be used in educational programs that serve minors.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without the consent or authorization required by applicable law.
Where a school is permitted to provide authorization on behalf of a parent under COPPA, Admit relies on that authorization only for the school-authorized educational use and benefit of the school—not for unrelated commercial purposes. Admit remains responsible for its own COPPA obligations and does not transfer that responsibility to a school or educator. The FTC specifically limits school-based COPPA consent to educational uses and requires the operator to provide appropriate notice and mechanisms for review and deletion.
Parents, guardians, and schools may contact us to request review, correction, deletion, or cessation of further collection of a child’s information where applicable.
We retain children’s personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or as otherwise permitted by law. Current COPPA requirements prohibit indefinite retention simply because information may be useful later.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and relationship with Admit, you may have rights to:
Access personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of personal information
Obtain a portable copy of certain information
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Opt out of certain communications
Request information about how personal information is used or disclosed
Exercise additional rights provided by applicable state law
Admit does not sell personal information or use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.
If your account was created or managed by a Partner Organization, certain requests relating to organization-controlled records may need to be coordinated with that organization.
You may disconnect Google Calendar through the Service and may also revoke Admit’s authorization through your Google account.
You may change push-notification permissions using your device settings.
Privacy requests may be submitted to support@admit.gg. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
10. Account and Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your Admit account and associated personal information through available account controls or by contacting support@admit.gg.
When a valid deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify personal information unless retention is reasonably necessary or permitted for purposes such as:
Fulfilling legal or contractual obligations
Maintaining required education records on behalf of a Partner Organization
Protecting safety or security
Resolving disputes
Preventing fraud or abuse
Maintaining limited audit records
Complying with legal process
For organization-provided accounts, we may coordinate the request with the Partner Organization where that organization controls the relevant records.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to provide the Service, support an active Partner Organization program, maintain security, comply with contractual or legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the context in which it was collected.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to lawful retention requirements.
Certain deleted or moderated communications, safety records, audit records, or backup copies may remain for a limited period when reasonably necessary for security, safeguarding, legal compliance, or system integrity.
12. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
These safeguards include role- and organization-based access controls and protections for sensitive credentials and integrations. Google also requires developers accessing Workspace data to maintain secure handling practices, including appropriate encryption of user data and OAuth credentials.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
Admit may link to colleges, scholarship providers, employers, internships, resources, or other third-party websites and services.
Your interactions with those third parties are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Admit is not responsible for the privacy practices of an unaffiliated service simply because it is linked or recommended through Admit.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, our practices, or applicable legal requirements change.
We will update the “Last Updated” date when we make changes. Where required, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by email.
If Admit materially changes how it uses Google user data, Google requires updated disclosure and consent before the data is used for a new or different purpose.
